2024–2025 Accomplishments
The Trevor Wade Daniel Foundation provided financial assistance to 51 pediatric oncology patients across four hospitals — Children’s Dallas, Dell Children’s Austin, St. Luke’s Boise (Idaho), and Children’s of Alabama (Birmingham).

In addition, we delivered 75 Holiday Bags filled with comfort and cheer to patients spending the holidays inpatient at Children’s Dallas and Dell Children’s. These included themed bags for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother’s Day, and Valentine’s Day. The foundation also prepared and distributed additional care packages throughout the year and hosted several special occasion events to support patients and their families during treatment.

Our 2024–2025 Impact

This year, thanks to the generosity of our supporters:

$33,302.93 was provided directly to help families cover patient-related expenses.

$600 was contributed to support pediatric cancer research, helping advance treatments and hope for children fighting cancer.

Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of children and families we serve.

Kerica's Story

I was introduced to the Trevor Wade Daniel Foundation while my son was facing a life-threatening illness. They provided financial and emotional support, which had a profound impact as we were struggling to pay bills at the time, due to dad missing work to be at the hospital with us. The foundation went above and beyond - they knew exactly what we were going through, and even after my son passed, they continued to be there for me!

Since then, I've had the pleasure of helping put gift bags together for Mother's Day. There is so much love and joy that goes into those gift bags, which I know all too well because I've been on the receiving end.

Although my son passed away, I count the foundation as one of my biggest blessings during the darkest moments of my life. I'll forever be thankful for them and all that they do!

Brenda's Story

On Valentines Day 2023, our PCP sent my son Travis, a single parent of Landon (his 11 year old son) and myself to Children's Hospital in Dallas where he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Over the next 10.5 months, Landon and I stayed in the hospital with his Dad and brother visiting every weekend.

Shortly after we arrived at Children's, we connected with The Trevor Wade Daniel Foundation. What a blessing it was for Landon to receive gifts - Lego sets and other items that could help him stay busy and do things he loved to do! He displayed everything he made or built in his hospital room. On Mother's Day, the foundation even arranged a surprise lunch and gift bag for me!

After Landon received a stem cell transplant and started his road to recovery, TWDF arranged an all-expense paid beach trip to Galveston for our family. It was a much needed and restful time together. Our family has truly been blessed beyond measure by TWDF during this journey and we are forever grateful. Landon is 14 now and cancer free!

Morgan's Story

I received support from the TWD Foundation in the form of care packages, holiday gifts, a listening ear, gentle and helpful advice, and someone to lean on who has become a meaningful partner in our corner. I’ve felt completely alone as a caretaker and the physical presence the TWD Foundation offered for emotional support in both the ER and our inpatient room was more than anyone else had done, or has done, for us this entire battle. Being able to reach out whenever the weight has been too much, to someone who has carried even more, isn’t a relief I can put into words.

The support of having someone bring customized gifts to my son’s hospital room during a long stay made him feel not at home, but comfortable and happy within the space he was confined to.

Having an actual person in our lives and not only packages sent from afar has been the most meaningful part of connecting with TWD Foundation. The care packages that were tailored to what we were going through and that part of the fight brought comfort, sensibility for what we need in our room (& often forgot), plus something to look forward to when there’s so much to dread. Everything about knowing TWD Foundation has brought comfort and hope.

Jenny's Story

From just after diagnosis to the end of my daughter's treatment, the Trevor Wade Daniel Foundation showed our family support and love. They promptly sent a basket to our home filled with comfort items we didn't even know we would need. The TWD Foundation truly understands what it means to have a child with cancer. I thank God that He filled them with enough strength to use their most difficult trial to minister to other families with expertise, sensitivity and the compassion of Christ. They understand that the whole family experiences cancer together and supported us with that in mind.

The gift cards for meals were especially appreciated when only very specific foods could be tolerated, we were traveling for treatment, or couldn't face another hospital meal.

Thank you for being there for us in our darkest hours.

Celebrating Trevor's 18th Birthday with 18 Acts of Kindness This year, we celebrated what would have been Trevor's 18th birthday by spreading kindness throughout our community with 18 Acts of Kindness. From blessing healthcare workers and first responders to supporting local organizations, sharing Trevor memories, and delivering 18 special gift bags to children receiving cancer treatment at Children's Hospital Dallas, each act was a reminder that even the smallest gestures can make a big impact. Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring Trevor's life and legacy. Because of your kindness, his light continues to shine, bringing hope, joy, and love to others. Together, we are proving that kindness lives on. 💙

What an unforgettable Family Fun Day! We loved seeing our community come together for a day filled with fun, laughter, and hope! From giant volleyball and bounce houses to ninja training, the game truck, petting zoo, food trucks, and the National Marrow Donor Program cheek swab registry, there was truly something for everyone. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and it allows us to support children and families battling childhood cancer while continuing Trevor's legacy of hope. Thank you to our incredible sponsors, volunteers, donors, vendors, and everyone who joined us. Your generosity and support make this mission possible, and we are so grateful to have such an amazing community standing with us. We can't wait to see you next year! ❤️💛

Spring Break LEGO Party at Children’s was a beautiful success. Thank you to all of our friends who donated LEGOs—your generosity truly makes a difference. It is such a privilege to partner with another family who has walked the same road, loving and supporting others in ways only we can understand. This year felt different. It was as if we were there just as much for the parents as for the kids. You could see it in their faces—a connection. Not one anyone would choose, but one that brings comfort, understanding, and a reminder that they are not alone. I love cheering for these patients and families, and this time, it was with LEGOs and Nerf guns.
